Former Nittany Lion Greg Gurenlian Drafted by MLL's Rochester Rattlers

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; June 21, 2006 - Former Penn State Nittany Lion lacrosse player Greg Gurenlian (Springfield, Pa.) has had a fine start to his professional playing career with the Rochester Rattlers of Major League Lacrosse.

Gurenlian was a third round pick of the Rattlers and the 23rd player chosen overall. Through the team's first five games, he has won 17 of 35 face-offs and grabbed three ground balls. Gurenlian has two points off a goal and assist as well.

Rochester is 2-3 early in the 2006 MLL season. The Rattlers play in the league's Eastern Conference. Rochester next plays this Friday, June 23, when it hosts the New Jersey Pride at 7:30 p.m. Rattler games are played at the 13,500 seat Paetec Park in Rochester, N.Y.
