Nittany Lions Tarr and Young will Participate in the 64th North-South All-Star Game Tomorrow

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., June 10, 2005 ¨C Penn State men¡¯s lacrosse seniors Marc Young (Devon, Pa.) and Jesse Tarr (Media, Pa.) will compete with the Division I South All-Stars in the 64th annual North-South All-Star game. The game will be held at the SUNY Cortland Stadium Complex in Cortland, N.Y. at 3 p.m. tomorrow.

Young represented the Nittany Lions as a senior captain this season and started in all 15 games this year on the midfield unit. He collected 14 ground balls, recorded four shots and finished with a three-ground ball game against Rutgers. Young carried a physical defensive presence every game and was one of the hardest workers on the team.

Jesse Tarr completed his senior season on the long-stick midfield unit and finished with 183 career ground balls. He played in every game this year and was second on the team in ground balls with 51. Tarr scored a season-high two goals against Bucknell and also finished with three assists.

Penn State has now had a representative in the all-star game for the past five years. Young and Tarr join a list of 63 other Penn State North-South All-Star Game selections.

Tickets, which can be purchased at the gate, are $5 for adults and $3 for students. Children under five years of age are admitted free of charge.
