Four Nittany Lion Lacrosse Players Selected for North South All-Star Game
STATE COLLEGE, Pa.; May 22, 2007 ¨C Four members of the Penn State Nittany Lion men¡¯s lacrosse team will take part in the USILA North-South All-Star Game. The exhibition contest will be played at 5:45 p.m. on Friday, May 25, at Calvert Hall in Baltimore, Md. Seniors Matt Mulqueen (Downingtown, Pa.), Dan Saltsman (Concord, N.H.), Gil Pearsall (Carthage, N.Y.) and Pat Heim (Wayne, Pa.) will all represent head coach Glenn Thiel¡¯s Nittany Lions in the contest. Mulqueen and Saltsman were both defenders for Penn State this past season. Mulqueen played in all 13 games this year and had24 ground balls. Saltsman was a two-time first team All-ECAC pick, had 25 ground balls and one goal this year. Pearsall and Heim were both midfielders this season. Pearsall was third on the team with 19 points off 15 goals and four assists. Heim, a three-time first team All-ECAC pick, had 18 points off 14 goals and four assists.
