Penn State Women's Lacrosse Defeats Ohio, 17-12
STATE COLLEGE, Pa., April 28, 2002 -- The 15th-ranked Penn State women's lacrosse defeated Ohio, 17-12 Sunday afternoon in Athens, Ohio. The Lions are now 7-9 overall and 3-3 in the American Lacrosse Conference. Junior Colleen O'Hara (Ardmore, Pa.) scored six of the Lion's 17 goals while sophomore Katie Jeschke (Ellicott City, Md.) tallied three and sophomore Jamie Donahue (Oreland, Pa.) recorded two. Scoring one goal each were senior Brooke Bailey (Wallingford, Pa.), senior Alison DeCecco (Newtown Square, Pa.), freshman Kristen Burke (Severna Park, Md.), sophomore Janique Craig (Doylestown, Pa.), sophomore Katie Hartman (Annapolis, Md.) and sophomore Stephanie Curnoles (Baltimore, Md.). Penn State will play its last game of the regular season on Saturday, May 4 at Delaware beginning at 1:00 p.m.
