UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., March 23, 2004 -Penn State men's lacrosse junior Will Cutler (Vienna, Va.) and freshman Matt Mulqueen (Downingtown, Pa.) both received Eastern College Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors after their performances in the 11-10 Nittany Lion victory against the No. 12 Denver Pioneers.

Cutler was named ECAC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring five goals including the game winner with 23 seconds left to defeat Denver last Sunday in Colorado. He has scored 10 points in six games and leads the team in goals with nine. This is Cutler's first conference player of the week honor since he was named ECAC Rookie of the Week after notching three goals against Massachusetts in his freshman season.

After collecting three ground balls against the Pioneers, Mulqueen grabbed ECAC Rookie of the Week honors for the first time in his young career. He is tied for second among freshmen on the team in ground balls with five so far and he has competed in all six games this season.

Penn State (3-3, 0-1 ECAC) will host ECAC rival Massachusetts on Saturday, Apr. 3 at 12:00 p.m. The Lions will then return to the road when they travel to Hobart in a non-conference match on Saturday, Apr. 10 at 1:00 p.m.
