"We feel very strongly that Dan has worked hard to develop into one of the top defenseman in the country. Dan is a terrific athlete who has the ability to cover all types of attackman we never feel he has a bad match up. He is our stopper a role he has excelled in over the past two seasons. His leadership and ability will allow us a great deal of flexibility at the defensive end."
