Matt Radecic became a force for Penn State in the midfield as a junior and will look to continue that level of excellence in 2007. One of Penn State's most experienced midfielders, Radecic will be a vital key to Penn State's success this year.
Lion Career:
2006: Playing in 13 games and starting 11, Radecic had his best year as a Nittany Lion. He had nine points off five goals and four assists while taking 38 shots. He also collected nine ground balls. Radecic was also an Academic All-Big Ten selection.
2005: Radecic played in 13 games for Penn State. He scored five points off three goals and two assists. Matt also took ten shots and had one ground ball.
2004: Radecic earned ECAC Rookie of the Week honors after scoring his first two career goals against Mount Saint Mary's. He collected one ground ball in three games.
High School/Personal:
Born March 20, 1985....earned three varsity letters and first team all-conference honors his senior year at Pembroke Hill...made all-star game his senior year...son of Scott and Christy Radecic...father played football for PSU from 1980-83 and the Kansas City Chiefs...has one sister, Taylor, who plays lacrosse at Virginia Tech...Computer Engineering major.

"Matt came into his own with regular play last spring. He has fine shooting skills but must improve his own goal percentage. He has excellent speed for a kid who's 6'3"."
