Junior Kevin Etter was one of Penn State's key defenders last year and will have an even bigger role in 2009. Etter will be relied upon to add veteran leadership and match up with the opponents top dodger as the Penn State Nittany Lions make a run at an NCAA tournament berth.

LION CAREER:

2008:Etter saw action in all 14 of Penn State's games last year, starting each one. The Maryland native had 21 ground balls and became on of Penn State's most consistent defenders.

2007: Etter played in 11 of Penn State's 13 games as a true freshman in 2007. He had three ground balls in his first season of collegiate lacrosse and earned a letter was well.

HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL:
Etter was a first team all-county pick by the Baltimore Sun, the Washington Post and the Annapolis Capital. A talented defender, he was his team's Defenseman of the Year and played in the Maryland State Lacrosse Association Senior All-Star Game. He is the son of Dr. Robert and JoAnn Etter. His brother, Sean, was a three-year letterman for PSU and is an `06 grad. Kevin is a psychology major at Penn State.
