Senior Brian Boyle heads into his final year with the Nittany Lions as Penn State's leading scorer. The talented New Hampshire native led Penn State in points and assists last year and will be an anchor on attack for the Nittany Lions in 2007.
Lion Career:
2006: Boyle was a second team All-ECAC pick after his superb junior season. His 37 points was tops on the team as was his 25 assists. Boyle also had 12 goals. He now has 67 career points on 26 goals and 41 assists. Boyle ended the year fifth in the ECAC in scoring and third in assists. An outstanding student, he was also an Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
2005: Boyle was second on the team in assists with 12 and also had 12 goals. His 24 points was fifth on the squad. Boyle took 34 shots and had an outstanding .353 shot percentage. He also had 15 ground balls.
2004: Boyle competed in 12 games and finished the year with six points while collecting four ground balls at Notre Dame.
High School/Personal:
Born April 16, 1984...first team all-state freshman through senior seasons and All-America in 2003 and `04...state champions freshman through junior seasons and state runner up senior year...earned six varsity letters in lacrosse and football...team captain senior season...a National Honor Society member...chose Penn State for its success and high regard in both academics and athletics...son of Gary and Jayne Boyle...has one brother Steven who plays lacrosse at Johns Hopkins...Kinesiology major.
