Junior John Andress will look to increase his playing time on the Penn State defense this year. With two years of learning under his belt, Andress could be ready to vie for time in the Nittany Lion close defense in 2009.

LION CAREER:

2008:John played in his first game as a Nittany Lion in 2008, seeing action against Robert Morris.

2007:Andress did not play in any games during his freshman campaign.

HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL:
Andress was a first team All-Suburban One League at Central Bucks East. He was a two-year letterman in lacrosse, anchoring East's defense. A talented athlete, Andress also lettered twice in basketball and was a stand-out guard. He is the son of Deb and John Andress. His mother played lacrosse and his father played football at Penn State. He has two brothers, Kyle and Ryan, and two sisters, Leah and Alyssa. Leah plays on Penn State's women's lacrosse team. John is majoring in marketing at Penn State.
