UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; December 6, 2012 - Season ticket deposits for the Penn State men's hockey team's historic first season at Pegula Ice Arena will be accepted beginning Friday, Dec. 7. The future home of Penn State Hockey, the 200,000-square foot facility with a 6,000-seat main arena will open prior to the 2013-14 season.
Current and potential ticket holders can place a deposit by calling 1-800-NITTANY Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. or by visiting the Bryce Jordan Center Athletic Ticket Office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Deposits will be accepted for Club, Loge, Bowl and "On the Glass" seating.
A $25 refundable per seat deposit will be required to participate in the Online Seat Selection process, scheduled to begin June 2013. The deposit period will run through April 2013 and afterwards fans will receive a selection time based on Nittany Lion Club (NLC) points and past history as a men's hockey season ticket holder. During the Online Seat Selection process, fans will have access to a virtual venue, allowing them to see in real time which seats are available and views from a variety of seat locations.
Season ticket purchases will require an annual NLC gift of at least $50 per seat (excluding end zone seats). For current NLC members, an additional donation will not be required if your annual NLC giving is at or above the total per seat donation for your hockey tickets. At the time of seat selection, all seats must be paid in full and NLC donation fulfilled.
The 2013-14 campaign will mark the first year of the Big Ten Hockey Conference, which will feature Penn State against perennial powers Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State and Wisconsin. Pegula Ice Arena will host 10 Big Ten games each season, along with several marquee non-conference matchups.
