NBCSN to Broadcast Pair of Men's Hockey Games

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - NBC Sports Group and the Big Ten announced Wednesday that a pair of Nittany Lion men's hockey games will broadcast live on NBC Sports Network.
NBCSN will televise the Nittany Lions' road matchups against Michigan State Saturday, Jan. 18 at 6:30 p.m. and Minnesota Saturday, March 1.
With the addition of the NBCSN broadcasts, the Nittany Lions will appear on national television at least 12 times during the 2013-14 season. Penn State games will broadcast live on BTN six times during the regular season and at least one during the Big Ten championship, while appearing on the ESPN family of networks three times.
Penn State will also play two games on regional networks. In addition to the previously announced Fox Sports Detroit Plus broadcast, the Nittany Lions' matchup against Vermont at Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center will air on The Comcast Network.
Penn State will open the 2013-14 season at Pegula Ice Arena Friday, Oct. 11 against Army. Puck drop for the nationally-televised game on BTN is set for 8:10 p.m.
PENN STATE HOCKEY RADIO SHOW TO DEBUT WEDNESDAY
The Penn State Hockey Radio Show will debut Wednesday, Oct. 9 and air each Wednesday throughout the 2013-14 season. The show will broadcast from 6-6:30 p.m. on 103.1 WRSC and ESPN Radio 1450 in State College and ESPN Radio 1150 (Huntingdon) and 1430 (Altoona).
Each week, Nittany Lion play-by-play voice Brian Tripp will bring fans exclusive interviews with coaches and student-athletes from the Penn State men's hockey team. The show will also broadcast live from Legends at The Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center eight times (Oct. 9, Oct. 23, Nov. 13, Jan. 22, Feb. 5, Feb. 12, March 5, March 13).
