MHKY Announces Single-Game Ticket Sale Dates

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Following a Big Ten Tournament Championship and the first-ever NCAA Tournament berth in program history, the Penn State men's ice hockey fan base renewed their season tickets at a ninety-six percent clip for the 2017-18 season. The remaining tickets were then secured by existing season ticket holders and those at the top of the waiting list.


A limited number of single-game tickets will go on sale during the exclusive Nittany Lion Club and men's hockey season ticket holder pre-sale on July 27 at 10:00 a.m. and conclude July 30. If tickets remain, they will go on sale to the public at 10:00 a.m. on August 1.

Due to limited ticket availability and an effort to maintain the value of season tickets, there will be an increase in single game pricing for the 2017-18 season. Pricing for single game tickets will be $30 for non-premium seats (center ice, attack zone, and end zone) and $60 for premium seats (club, loge, and on-the-glass).  $18 tickets will be available in the student section for the Michigan State and Wisconsin series as students are on break. Standing Room Only tickets will remain at $15 and can be purchased by calling 1-800-NITTANY. A single game pricing chart can be found here.


Nittany Lion Club and men's hockey season ticket holder pre-sale for single game tickets to the NHL Preseason game between the Buffalo Sabres and the Pittsburgh Penguins on September 19 will also take place from July 27-30 with a public sale beginning on August 1 if tickets remain.

Nittany Lion Club members and men's hockey season ticket holders will receive an email the morning of July 27 containing a promo code to purchase both men's hockey single-game and NHL game tickets via  A pricing chart for the NHL game can be found here.


The Penn State student season ticket sale will take place September 14 at 7:00 a.m. Tickets will remain at $143 for the season package. Student season tickets will only be sold through Additional details regarding the student season ticket sale are now posted at .  The student season ticket package will include 13 games this season with the exception of the series between Michigan State on November 24-25 and Wisconsin on January 5-6 due to university breaks.

Students wishing to purchase tickets for these series may do so on August 1 when tickets go on sale to the public, subject to availability. Tickets will be assigned physical seat locations among other public buyers.

Penn State students will have the opportunity to purchase a student section ticket to the NHL Preseason game between the Buffalo Sabres and the Pittsburgh Penguins on August 16 beginning at 7:00AM on Additional details regarding student NHL game tickets are now posted at Student section tickets for the NHL game will cost $25.


Penn State once again played in front of the highest capacity crowds in the nation during the 2016-17 season with a 104.2 percent capacity. Pegula Ice Arena was sold out for all 20 home games last year and has been filled for 57 straight contests, the longest active streak in NCAA Division I men's ice hockey.

The Nittany Lions secured a program record 14 victories on home ice last season posting a 14-5-1 record in front of an average of 6,026 fans per night. The 5,704 seat Pegula Ice Arena has now been sold out on 72 of 74 occasions since opening its doors in 2013.
