UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's hockey team will play its final two games at Greenberg Ice Pavilion this weekend when it hosts the ACHA's Oklahoma Sooners for a two-game exhibition series Feb. 15-16. Opening faceoff Friday is set at 7:30 p.m., while game time Saturday is at 3:30 p.m.
The Nittany Lions (12-13-0) will enter their final home weekend on a three-game winning streak, while Oklahoma, which is ranked sixth in the American Collegiate Hockey Association, travels to Happy Valley with a 21-11-2-3 (W-L-OTL-SOL) mark. Prior to the start of the series finale Saturday, the Nittany Lions will recognize all six members of their first NCAA senior class.
For five-game package holders, Friday night's game is part of Package C, while Saturday afternoon's contest is part of Package B.
Fans attending this weekend's games will receive a poster commemorating the final home game at Greenberg Ice Pavilion, as well as Pegula Ice Arena's first game, which is set for Oct. 11, 2013.
Fans attending this weekend's games will be able to park in Orange Lots C, F and G. Orange Lot H is also available on the east side of University Drive (see map). A courtesy shuttle will be available for fans and media members that will originate from Orange H. Parking is free for all men's hockey games.
Video and audio streams for both games will be available through the All-Access channel at GoPSUsports.com. Fans can also listen to Penn State Hockey on the radio through the Penn State Sports Network (WRSC 103.1 FM locally). Live stats will also be available for both games, while fans can follow in-game updates through the team's Twitter account (@PennStateMHKY).

Six Nittany Lions - Brian Dolan (Havertown, Pa.), Michael Longo (Allison Park, Pa.), Dominic Morrone (Sewell, N.J.), Rich O'Brien (Furlong, Pa.), George Saad (Wexford, Pa.) and Eric Steinour (Carlisle, Pa.) - will play their final games in Greenberg this weekend. The group will be honored prior to the game Saturday.
LIONS TO OPEN PEGULA ICE ARENA OCT. 11
Pegula Ice Arena will host its first game Friday, Oct. 11, 2013 when Penn State and Army face off in Happy Valley.
SEASON TICKET DEPOSITS BEING ACCEPTED FOR 2013-14
Season ticket deposits for the 2013-14 season are being accepted and can be placed by calling 1-800-NITTANY Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. or by visiting the Bryce Jordan Center Athletic Ticket Office weekdays from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
CELEBRATING THE PAST
During the pregame festivities Saturday, there will be a ceremonial puck drop featuring former Icers Jamie Hettema, who took the first faceoff at Greenberg Ice Pavilion, and Matt Glass, who scored the first goal in the arena. John Dufford, who was a member of Penn State's original 1940-41 varsity team, will drop the puck. Greenberg Ice Pavilion has served as the home of Penn State Hockey since January 1981.
FIRST SERIES SWEEP
The Nittany Lions defeated Alabama Huntsville, 4-0 and 4-3, last weekend to secure their first-ever series sweep. In the opener, David Glen recorded the program's first hat trick, while Matthew Skoff made 23 saves for his second shutout. Max Gardiner also scored for the Nittany Lions, while Kenny Brooks secured a career-best two assists.
THREE-GAME WIN STREAK
With its weekend sweep against Alabama Huntsville, Penn State has won three straight games for the first time since a four-game winning streak Oct. 20-Nov. 3.
YANIS MAKING AN IMPACT
Since returning from injury, defenseman Mark Yanis has recorded at least one point, including the game-winning goal against Alabama Huntsville Feb. 9, in five of the past six games.
HOLSTROM'S HOT STREAK
Junior forward Taylor Holstrom has recorded 12 points (6g, 6a) during his team-best eight-game points streak.
MAKING IT COUNT
The Nittany Lions are 10-6-0 when David Glen records at least one point and 9-6-0 when Casey Bailey reaches the score sheet. Penn State is also 7-4-0 when sophomore Max Gardiner registers an assist.
The Nittany Lions will close out the 2012-13 season with a two-game series against No. 18 Wisconsin Feb. 24-25.
