Men's Gymnastics Championships to Air on ESPN
STATE COLLEGE, Pa., April 23, 2001 - The 2001 NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships team finals will air on ESPN on Saturday, April 28 at 2:30 p.m. The Nittany Lions, who finished fifth at the event, will be featured on the telecast. The event was hosted by Ohio State University on April 5-7. Penn State entered the championships seeded eighth and was one of six teams to advance to the finals after placing third at the first qualifying session. During the championships, senior Dominic Brindle (Bradford, England), sophomore Jay Kim (Burke, Va.), senior Chris Lakeman (Rolling Meadows, Ill.) and freshman Kevin Tan (Freemont, Calif.) all qualified for the individual finals during the team finals. All four eventually went on to earn all-America honors with Lakeman winning the rings national title. --LIONS--
