CALIFORNIA

Head coach Barry Weiner

Opening statement
"We had a little bit of a disappointing week on Thursday in the team meet. We had four falls on pommel horse and did not advance. That was a little disappointing. So to have a good finals, with Tim (McNeill) winning two events in the finals, and Colin (Christ) winning the second and the third was very satisfying for us."

Tim McNeill, Sr.

Opening statement
"I was really disappointed on Thursday, along with the entire team. We worked so hard for that. Other than that, I feel very great right now with my results. I know I could not have done any better."

Talk about your horse routine and what it means for you to walk away with the title.
"I was kind of disappointed by the way we performed on the first and second day. I knew that today, when I woke up, that I felt pressure to defend my title. I warmed up well, and when I went up to begin, I felt confident and calm, and felt great when I was done."

Did it affect your mindset that your team did not compete yesterday?
"We still competed yesterday, so it was still very traumatic on our bodies. Yesterday was definitely tough because we felt like we were missing out with all the other teams together, having it come to close to the end and cheering for each other. But we got ourselves up, and things worked out."

Was it like a world or international championships atmosphere tonight?
"It felt like a championship. I felt a lot more confident because I knew my whole team was behind me. It was definitely more exciting."

OKLAHOMA

Head coach Mark Williams

Opening statement
"We are thrilled to have two more national championships to take home to Oklahoma. I am very thrilled with my team's performance today. It is nice to see them come back after two other hard days, and to come back on the third day and compete. Every one of the 11 that competed today became All-Americans. I am very satisfied."

Jonathan Horton, Jr.

Opening statement
"I am very proud of our team. We did a good job yesterday. I am also very happy with my performance today. I feel very good about the two events that I competed in. It has been a long week, and a struggle to get through."

What does breaking Bart Conner's record mean to you?
"It is definitely not always the first thing on my mind when I come to a competition like this. It is definitely exciting."

Was it like a world or international championships atmosphere tonight?
"When the crowd gets into it like that, it definitely feels like a big event. When you are out there, and the crowd is yelling, and you have your team behind you, it definitely feels like nationals. The pressure of all that going on around you, you have to have the mind set that you are in a big competition."

STANFORD

Head coach Thom Glielmi

Opening statement
"It was a pretty good day. We had two national champions. It was unfortunate that Dylan Carney missed on the high bar. I can't tell you that last time he missed a high bar routine."

Alex Schorsch, Sr.

Opening statement
"I'm happy with my performance and the rest of my team did a great job yesterday. I'm happy to be finished."

How do you plan to celebrate?
"I've already celebrated with a quarter-pounder with cheese from McDonalds. I have to keep myself light to be able to hold myself up there on the rings, but that was the last competition of my career. Now that I'm done it will give me time to relax and focus on my studies a little bit."

David Sender, Jr.

Opening statement
"I am also relieved to be done and happy with my performance."

Was it like a world or international championships atmosphere tonight?
"Pressure is about the same. There is a difference in how it is run, because at Nationals there is no yelling unless someone has a really great finish. The pressure of all that is going on around you in a competition like this puts you into a mind-set like that."

How do you plan to celebrate?
"I could go for a large ice cream. I woke up this morning feeling a little under the weather, so I'd just like to go take a nap."

OHIO STATE

Head coach Miles Avery

Opening statement
"I'm really happy with what my guys and Pejman have done today, finishing with a co-national champion on the vault."

With your team being out of the competition early on, was it hard to get back into the swing of competition?
"As a team a lot of us were in shock, because we thought we would go very far. We did our best."

Pejman Ebrahimi, Jr.

Opening statement
"I'm kind of surprised with the results, but I'll take it."

How do you plan to celebrate?
My teammates give me a hard time, because I like ice cream so much. I'll probably have some of that, but then I'll be studying, because I have two exams on Monday."
