Penn State Men's Gymnastics Hosts Army on Saturday for Senior Night

No. 4 Penn State hosts No. 12 Army on Senior Night: The Penn State men's gymnastics team will host No. 12 Army Saturday, March 13, at Rec Hall at 7 p.m. The meet will be senior night for three Lions, Kevin Tan (Fremont, Calif.), Duke Van Vleet (Safety Harbor, Fla.), and Zach Roeder (Montrose, Pa.). Earlier this season, Penn State defeated Army at the West Point Open 214.625-208.700 and in the opening meet of the season, 215.600-206.550. Who's Got Next?:The 2003 Big Ten champion men's gymnastics team, Penn State will try and defend its title on March 19-20 in Champaign, Ill., which will also serve as the site of this year's NCAA championships. Senior Kevin Tan will also look to defend his individual title on the rings. PSU No. 4 in the Nation: Penn State remains in the No. 4 spot in the nation coming into this weekend's meet. Senior Kevin Tan (Fremont, Calif.), is still ranked No. 1 in the nation on the still rings (9.825) and has been all season. Tan is also ranked No. 8 on the parallel bars (9.050) and No. 4 in the all-around (54.050). Fellow Nittany Lion Zach Roeder (Montrose, Pa.) is ranked No. 2 on the pommel horse with an average of 9.617. Sophomore Chad Buzcek (Bridgewater, Mass.) is ranked No. 6 on still rings (9.575), No. 8 on the floor exercise (9.300) and No. 6 in the all-around (53.783).
