2018 (Senior Year)
Notched Academic All-Big Ten honors … Appeared on both the pommel horse and still rings in his final season as a Nittany Lion … Placed fifth against Illinois (1/27) … Suffered an injury late in the season and was unable to compete.
2017 (Junior Year)
Competed on the still rings in six meets for the Blue and White … Tallied two second-place finishes at the West Point Open (1/14)
2016 (Sophomore Year)
Made touches on both the pommel horse and still rings in the 2016 season for the Nittany Lions …Finished third on the pommel horse at the West Point Open with a 14.150 … Placed fifth at Arizona State (3/4) on the pommel horse … Notched three-straight third-place finishes on the still rings … Also placed sixth three times on the still rings for the Blue and White.
2015 (Freshman Year)
Competed in two meets during his freshman year ... Opened up his Penn State career against Army with a score of 13.700 on the still rings (1/11) ... Posted a score of 12.000 on the pommel horse and a score of 13.900 on the still rings at Puerto Rico (3/6)
Trained at the New England Academy of Gymnastics ... Five-time Junior National Championship qualifier ... 2011 regional pommel horse champion ... 2013 state pommel horse champion ... 2014 regional rings champion.
Full name is Benjamin Lewis Cooperman ... Son of Steven and Johanna Cooperman ... Has two sisters, Sarah and Charlotte ... Majoring in management.
