UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's golf team will welcome one of the most talented recruits to ever commit to the blue and white for the 2014-15 season.

Cole Miller of New Tripoli, Pa. is currently a senior at Northwestern Lehigh High School, where he has solidified himself as one of the top high school players in the country. Miller currently ranks 93rd nationally, 51st in the class of 2014, and 3rd in the state of Pennsylvania, according to the juniorgolfscoreboard.com rankings.

"Cole [Miller] rarely plays an event where he isn't either winning or right in the mix," head coach Greg Nye said. "He, like many collegiate players, can move his ball, but he is long and consistently straight. We felt he was also an excellent all-around fit with our team."

Miller is an incredible ball striker who routinely overpowers courses, claiming consecutive runner-up positions in the 2012 and 2013 PIAA State Championship. He earned the crown at the 2013 AJGA Junior at Penn State, as well as the 2013 PIAA East Regional champion title. Additionally, Miller boasts the lowest competitive scoring average for Pennsylvania junior golfers in 2013.

"It was a combination of a good academic institution, and I think I can take my golf game to a new level there," Miller said to LehighValleyLive.com last August. "The facilities are good. The short game facility goes out to 120 yards and has a nice target green. It offers every type of shot."

Cole Miller should make an immediate impact for the Nittany Lions in 2014.
