University Park, Pa. - Having reached its highest ranking ever in both the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings and Golfstat Rankings this season, the Nittany Lion golf team can add another poll to its list.

The latest Golf World/Nike Golf Division I Coaches' Poll - the third poll released by Golf World this season - ranks Penn State No. 20 in the nation, its highest ranking ever in the poll.

Penn State received 148 points and was one of seven previously unranked teams to move into the top-25. The Nittany Lions are the second-highest ranked Big Ten team, three spots behind Michigan State.

Through four tournaments this season, Penn State has finished no lower than fourth place.

The Nittany Lions began the season with a second-place finish at the season-opening Hartford Hawks Invitational and won their next two tournaments - the Wolf Run Intercollegiate and VCU Shootout. Penn State placed fourth at the Memphis Intercollegiate in its latest tournament.

The Nittany Lions are now ranked No. 14 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings, No. 12 by Golfstat and No. 20 in the Coaches' Poll.

Penn State concludes its fall season on Nov. 5-6 at the Wolverine at Mission Inn, held at Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort's El Campeón in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
