Men¡¯s Golf Takes Third in Philadelphia

State College, Pa. - After battling through some injuries last week in San Francisco, the Penn State men¡¯s golf team played some of its best rounds of the season, finishing a 27-over par 3rd place at the Big 5 Classic. Played at Philadelphia¡¯s Cricket Club, the 14-team tournament featured many other in-state opponents for Penn State.

Individually for the Lions, sophomore Robert Rohanna (Wayneburg, Pa) and senior Marco Poccia (Saratoga Springs, Pa.) both tied for 4th with a 4-over. Junior John Aubrey (Butler, Pa) placed 21st with a 10-over and senior Greg Pieczynski (Kingston, Pa.) finished tied with sophomore Harvin Groft (State College, Pa.) for 33rd with a 13-over.

The Lions go on the road again this weekend to compete at the Georgetown Invitational
