State College, Pa., October 3, 2005 - After one round of the Memphis Intercollegiate in Memphis Tenn., the Nittany Lions are tied with Kansas State University with a six-over 294. Penn State is one of 15 teams competing.

Sophomore Robert Rohanna (Waynesburg, Pa.) and sophomore Harvin Groft (State College, Pa.) are currently tied for 9th overall, shooting an even score of 72.

Freshman Chad Bricker (Waynesboro, Pa.) ended the first round tied for 22nd with a 2-over 74, while seniors Greg Pieczynski (Kingston, Pa.) and Marco Poccia (Saratoga Spring, NY) both shot a 4-over 76 and are tied for 40th place overall.

Southern Mississippi leads the tournament after the first round with a one-under 287.
