July 16, 2007 UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State senior Robert Rohanna (Waynesburg, Pa.) has been named a Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Juniors and seniors who maintain a minimum 3.2 cumulative grade-point average and under a 76.0 stroke average in Division I are eligible for the honor.
Rohanna¹s selection marks the third-straight season in which a Nittany Lion golfer has been honored as a GCAA All-America Scholar and the 19th time overall. Rohanna, who reached the quarterfinals of the U.S.
Amateur Public Links Championship last week, earned PING Division I Mid-Atlantic All-Region selection for the third-straight season and first-team All-Big Ten honors last year. He won three tournaments and recorded seven top 10 finishes while ranking second in the Big Ten Conference with a season-stroke average at 72.40.
