UNIVERSITY PARK, PA., June 12, 2008 - Former Nittany Lion golfer Greg Pieczynski fired a 69 on Wednesday to pick up the third and final qualifying spot to play in the Nationwide Tour's Northeast Pennsylvania Classic in August.

Pieczynski, a 2006 Penn State graduate, owns the Nittany Lions fifth best all-time career scoring average at 74.46 and twice earned Mid-Atlantic All-Region honors. Qualifying through the Philadelphia PGA Section, he earned a spot in the Nationwide event to be played August 21-24 at Glenmaura National.
