Ardmore, Okla., May 16, 2004 - The Penn State Men's Golf team, led by junior Mark Leon's (Brampton, Ontario) even-par 73-70-67-210, shot a 292-289-281-862 en route to finishing the Maxwell Intercollegiate in 10th place. Leon's 210 was good for an 11th place tie, with his final-round 67 being the second lowest total of the day.

Eleven golfers finished Sunday's final round under par, including Leon and teammate Marco Poccia (Saratoga Springs, NY), who shot a 1-under 69. Overall, Poccia carded a 73-73-69-215 to finish in a tie for 28th place. Ted Neville (Oklahoma City, Okla.) joined Leon and Poccia among the tournament's top 40, finishing in a tie for 36th place. Neville fired a consistent 73-71-73-217, while teammates Jason Pannone (74-77-72-223; East Greenwich, RI) and Greg Pieczynski (73-75-80-288; Kingston, Pa.) finished in respective 66th and 76th place ties.
