Robert Rohanna Named Big Ten Men's Golfer of the Week
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., May 3, 2005 - Penn State men's golf freshman Robert Rohanna (Waynesburg, Pa.) was named Big Ten Men's Golfer of the Week in a vote by league officials recently. Rohanna shares the honor with Jeff Overton of Indiana and Ben Greve of Minnesota. Rohanna earned the distinction at the Rutherford Intercollegiate, which was held this past weekend at the Penn State Blue Course. He shot a 207 (-9) to finish in second place individually and lead Penn State to its 13th team title in the past 14 tournaments. The Lions finished with a total score of 843, which bettered the previous tournament record of 852 set in 2003. Penn State will travel to University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, Wisc. For the Big Ten Championships held from May 6-8. The Nittany Lions will be looking for their first Big Ten team title on the par 72, 6,888-yard course.
