MenĄ¯s Golf Finishes 7th at Big Ten Championships
State College, Pa., April 30, 2006 - The Penn State menĄ¯s golf team finished in 7th place out of 11 teams at the Big Ten Golf Championships, held at Conway Farms Golf Course in Lake Forest, Ill. Sophomore Robert Rohanna led the Nittany Lions, finishing 15th with a tournament total of 295 (+11). Freshman Matt Leon tied for 46th place after a tournament total of 311 (+27), junior Patrick Marshalek tied for 42nd after a total score of 309 (+25), senior Greg Piecznynski tied for 22nd with a total score of 300 (+16), while sophomore Harvin Groft tied for 30th after shooting a total 304 (+20). Penn State had a team score of 1197 (+61). Northwestern University won the tournament with a team score of 1160 (+24). NorthwesternĄ¯s Chris Wilson won the individual title with a final score of 280 (-4).
