Nittany Lions in 11th Place after First Two Rounds of Lady Buckeye
COLUMBUS, Ohio; April 21, 2007- Two rounds into the Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational, the Nittany Lions are in 11 th place out of the 14 competing teams. The team shot 335 in the first round and improved by several shots with a score of 322 in the second round, giving the Nittany Lions a two-round score of 81¨Cover 657. Senior Maggie Lester shot 12-over 84 in the first round, but improved in the second round with a score of three-over 75. Lester leads the Nittany Lions with a two-round score of 15-over 159. The team made great improvements from the first round to the second round. Junior Emily Pavesich shot four-over 76 in the second round after a first round score of 87. Senior Evelyn Paik improved her score by six shots in the second round. Individually, Christel Boeljon and Maria Hernandez, both of Purdue, are tied in first place after the first two rounds. Both have a score of two-under 142. Purdue is currently in first place with an impressive team score of seven-over 593.
