Men's Golf Hopeful for Match Play vs. Richmond
Feb. 27, 2014
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's golf team is set to travel to Midlothian, Va. for a match play competition with the University of Richmond Saturday March 1. However, the weather forecast and freezing conditions may play a role in the occurrence of the event.
"We hope to play everyone this weekend in Richmond," head coach Greg Nye said. "We have a few minor injuries that are day to day. If we get this in this weekend with the expected cold to cooler temperatures, it will greatly benefit us going into the Seminole Intercollegiate at the end of our semester break trip south."
Looking ahead for the Nittany Lions, the Seminole Intercollegiate will take place March 14-16 and will be the team's next tournament if Saturday's match is unable to be played.
