State College, Pa. - The Penn State golf courses received another honor recently as the golf shop was named as one of the Top 100 in the country by Golf World Business. This was the third consecutive year that the Penn State golf shop was honored with this award.

Penn State was ranked as one of 25 golf shops in the public category. The Golf World Business Top 100 rankings are based on shop appearance, amount of business and how the shop sets itself apart.

"We at the Penn State golf courses are excited about winning three years in a row," said Doug Wert, General Manager/Director of Golf. "We want to thank everyone who has provided us with support."

"I want to thank all of the staff that have worked very hard to get us to this level. Burch Wilkes and Chris Cain have done a tremendous job with our golf shop operation," Wert said.
