Penn State has some of the finest golf facilities in the nation with two 18-hole on-campus courses, three other courses within 10 minutes of campus, range and indoor practice facility. The newest practice area is a quiet two-acre short-game facility opened August 2007. Built behind the 14th green of the Blue Course adjacent to two water hazards on the 18th, it has two large greens with several bunkers, level and un-level lies, uphill & downhill shots, and two different practice fairways of 50 and 100 yards. A new Varsity Golf Clubhouse is scheduled to be built adjacent to the 18th green as well.
Penn State golfers have earned numerous honors both on the court and in the classroom.
