THIS WEEK:
The Nittany Lions play the final game in 2012, finishing the season with a Leaders Division showdown against Wisconsin. Thirty Penn State seniors will be introduced in a pre-game ceremony.
Penn State is coming off a 45-22 victory against Indiana and the Badgers dropped an overtime contest to Ohio State, 21-14.
Senior Matt McGloin has thrown a TD pass in every game this season and his four TD passes and 395 passing versus the Hoosiers garnered him Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week. His four scoring strikes pushed him into the top spot on the career charts, while his career-best 395 passing yards made his the top single season passer in school history (3,066). McGloin is atop the Big Ten charts in passing yardage, completions (251) and passing touchdowns (23). He is one TD pass shy of tying Daryll Clark's single season record for touchdown passes.
Allen Robinson is now in sole possession of the single season receptions list with 73 and is just 107 yards shy of Bobby Engram's single season record of 1,084 yards and his 11 touchdown catches are second to Engram's 13 from 1993.
For as many points as both team's have put up in 2012, this will be a match up of two of the Big Ten's top defenses. Wisconsin, No. 2, will stack up against Penn State's No. 4 ranked scoring defense.
