UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State Sophomore Zach Zwinak (Frederick, Md.) was voted as the Iron Workers Local Union No. 3 "Ironman of the Game" for his outstanding offensive performance against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Zwinak received the most fan votes of the four nominees this week to win these honors.
Zwinak re-wrote his career-high rushing output with 141 yards on 21 carries in Saturday's midafternoon game at Nebraska. During Penn State's first possession, Zwinak raced 50 yards for a touchdown to start the game out with a bang for the Nittany Lions. His touchdown run marked the team's longest play from scrimmage in 2012. Yet again, the sophomore running back rushed for over 100 yards against the Cornhuskers, making this his fourth of the last six games to do so.
