Penn State-Indiana Home Finale Set For 12:10 Kickoff on ESPN Regional

STATE COLLEGE, Pa., November 5, 2001 - Penn State's home finale against Indiana on Saturday, Nov. 17 will be televised by ESPN Regional and carried on four Pennsylvania stations. Kickoff is set for 12:10 p.m. in Beaver Stadium.

Sixteen Nittany Lion seniors will be playing their final home contest and will be introduced prior to the game.

Pennsylvania stations carrying the Penn State-Indiana game are: WPHL-TV, Ch. 17 (Philadelphia); WTAJ-TV, Ch. 10 (Altoona-State College-Johnstown), WLYH-TV, Ch. 15 (Harrisburg-York-Lancaster-Reading) and WSWB-TV, Ch. 38 (Scranton/Wilkes-Barre). WKBN-TV (Youngstown, Ohio), WBPN-TV (Binghamton, N.Y.) and WTOV-TV (Wheeling, W.Va.-Steubenville, Ohio) also will carry the game. Other stations may be added during the next week. The telecast of the Indiana game is the ninth announced TV appearance of the season for the Nittany Lions, who have appeared on television 87 times in their last 88 games, including the last 53 contests. Penn State will be making its first appearance of the season on ESPN Regional. The Lions have played on ESPN twice and ESPN2 once and will be making their fifth appearance on ABC on Saturday, visiting Big Ten-leading Illinois for a 3:30 p.m. ET start.

The Nittany Lions (3-4, 2-3) own a 6-0 series lead over the Hoosiers (2-3, 2-5), including a 27-24 win at the RCA Dome last season.

Other Penn State contests may be selected by the networks under the six and 12-day provisions of their contracts with the Big Ten.

A limited number of tickets remain for the Indiana game. Tickets may be purchased at the athletic ticket office in the Bryce Jordan Center, which is open weekdays from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Fans also can call 814-865-5555 or 800-863-3336 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.- 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m.-9 p.m.

Tickets for the Penn State-Indiana game may be available at the Beaver Stadium ticket office near Gate E starting at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17.
