UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The second of Penn State's three November home games, against Purdue on Nov. 16, has been set for a 12:00 p.m. kick. Big Ten Network will televise the Military Appreciation Day contest from Beaver Stadium.

The Penn State Sports Network and www.GoPSUsports.com will begin coverage of the Penn State-Purdue game at 10:30 a.m. ET.

Coach Bill O'Brien's Nittany Lions and the Boilermakers will be meeting for the 17th time. Penn State owns a 12-3-1 on-field edge in the series, which began in 1951, earning the decision in the last six meetings. Penn State won, 34-9, in Ross-Ade Stadium last year.

The announcement of the Purdue kick brings the total of known Penn State start times to 10 for this season. The Nittany Lions will be making their fifth appearance of the season on BTN. Purdue hosts Iowa on Saturday before visiting Penn State.

The Nittany Lions (5-3, 2-2) will visit Minnesota (7-2, 3-2) on Nov. 9, with the kick at 11 a.m. CT/12 p.m. on ESPN2. The Minnesota game also will air on the Penn State Sports Network (10:30 a.m. ET airtime) and www.GoPSUsports.com.

The "Seats For Soldiers" program is part of Military Appreciation Day for the Nittany Lions' game vs. Purdue. United States military service members (Active/Reserve)/Wounded Warriors, their direct dependent (i.e. ID Card Holder), veterans and Gold Star families residing in Pennsylvania are invited to attend the Nov. 16 football game. The deadline to request tickets is 5 p.m. today.

Fans and businesses can donate tickets for the "Seats For Soldiers" program by calling 1-800-NITTANY weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Tickets to be donated to service members are $35 each. Veterans Day is Monday, Nov. 11.

A pre-game tailgate will be held for service members and their families with "Seats For Soldiers" tickets, and people who have donated tickets to service members (begins three hours before kickoff). ROTC elite, active duty, Wounded Warriors and veterans will be honored for their service during halftime.

Penn State Athletics and the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank also will conduct their second annual food drive from Nov. 15-24. Fans are encouraged to "Stuff a Blue Bus" by dropping off canned goods at the following drop-off locations: Bryce Jordan Center, Jeffrey Field, Medlar Field at Lubrano Park and the Central Pennsylvania Convention and Visitors Bureau. The goal for "Stuff a Blue Bus" is to collect 10,000 lbs. of food.

The remaining two Penn State kick times and TV information will occur within the Big Ten's 6 or 12 day selection process.

Every Penn State football game has been televised the past 10 seasons and 236 of the last 238 contests overall have been on TV. All Nittany Lion football and basketball games air on the Penn State Sports Network and www.GoPSUsports.com.

A special ticket offer, Kickoff to Tipoff, is available for the Nov. 16 football game against Purdue and the Lady Lions basketball team's Nov. 17 game vs. No. 1 Connecticut. Both games are set for 12 p.m. Fans interested in the Kickoff to Tipoff package can call 1-800-NITTANY weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
