UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State's Nov. 9 contest at Minnesota has been set for an 11 a.m. CT/12 p.m. ET kick at TCF Bank Stadium. ESPN2 will televise the contest to a national audience.
The Penn State Sports Network and www.GoPSUsports.com will begin coverage of the Penn State-Minnesota game at 10:30 a.m. ET.
Coach Bill O'Brien's Nittany Lions and the Golden Gophers will be meeting for the first time since 2010 and the 13th time overall. Penn State owns an 8-4 on-field edge in the series, which began in 1993, earning the decision in the last four meetings. Penn State won in Minneapolis, 33-21, in the last meeting three years ago.
The announcement of the Minnesota kick brings the total of known Penn State start times to nine for this season. The first of Penn State's three November home games, against Illinois on Nov. 2, will kick at 12 p.m. and air on ESPN. The Illinois game also will air on the Penn State Sports Network (10:30 a.m. airtime) and www.GoPSUsports.com.
Minnesota improved to 6-2 with a 34-23 win over No. 24 Nebraska last week and visits Indiana on Saturday before hosting the Nittany Lions on Nov. 9.
The remaining three Penn State kick times and TV information will occur within the Big Ten's 6 or 12 day selection process.
Every Penn State football game has been televised the past 10 seasons and 235 of the last 237 contests overall have been on TV. All Nittany Lion football and basketball games air on the Penn State Sports Network and www.GoPSUsports.com.
Tickets are available for the Nittany Lions' final three home games against Illinois (Nov. 2, THON Day), Purdue (Nov. 16, Military Appreciation Day) and Nebraska (Nov. 23, Senior Day). For information on single game tickets, as well as club seating in Beaver Stadium, fans can visit www.GoPSUsports.com/tickets or call 1-800-NITTANY weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
