ABC Sports to Televise Penn State-Ohio State Clash at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday
STATE COLLEGE, Pa., October 24, 2004 - ABC Sports will televise Penn State's Big Ten clash with border rival Ohio State on Saturday, October 30. Kickoff is set for 12:00 p.m. in Ohio Stadium. The contest will be a split national telecast with Oklahoma-Oklahoma State. The telecast is the eighth announced television appearance this season for Penn State. The Nittany Lions have played twice on ESPN, once on ABC, once on ESPN2 and three times on ESPN Plus. The Nittany Lions have appeared on television in 122 of their last 124 games. ABC has televised 10 of the last 11 Penn State-Ohio State clashes, including OSU's 21-20 comeback win last year. Penn State and Ohio State will be meeting for the 12th consecutive year since the Nittany Lions began Big Ten play in 1993. The home team has won nine of the 11 meetings as conference foes. The Nittany Lions lead the overall series, 10-9, and will be looking for their first win in Ohio Stadium since starting Big Ten play in 1993. Penn State will be looking to bounce back from a difficult 6-4 loss to Iowa Saturday in front of a sellout Homecoming crowd of 108,062. The Buckeyes snapped a three-game losing streak with a 30-7 win over Indiana on Saturday. Future Penn State contests may be selected by the networks under the six and 12-day provisions of their contracts with the Big Ten.
