Penn State-Northwestern Homecoming Game Set for 12 p.m. ET Kick on ESPN Network

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State 93rd Homecoming game vs. Northwestern will kick at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6. ESPN or ESPN2 will televise the Varsity "S" Day contest to a national audience from Beaver Stadium, with a TV determination made after this Saturday's games.

The Penn State Sports Network and www.GoPSUsports.com will begin coverage of the Penn State-Northwestern game at 10:30 a.m. ET.

Penn State (2-2) and Northwestern (4-0) will be meeting for the 16th time since the Nittany Lions began Big Ten Conference competition in 1993. The Wildcats host Indiana this week before visiting Beaver Stadium.

The announcement of the Northwestern kick brings the total of known Penn State start times and television information to eight for this season. The Penn State at Illinois Big Ten opener on Saturday, Sept. 29 will kick at 12:00 p.m. ET in Champaign and air on ESPN and the Penn State Sports Network.

The other known kick times for Coach Bill O`Brien's Nittany Lions are:
- Oct. 20 at Iowa (7 p.m. CT, BTN)
- Oct. 27 Penn State White Out vs. Ohio State (6 p.m., ESPN/2)

Penn State has played on TV in 220 of its last 222 games, including national appearances on ESPN (Ohio), ABC (Virginia) and ABC/ESPN2 (Navy and Temple) to begin this season.

Additional Penn State kick times will be announced as part of the Big Ten's 6/12-day selection process with its TV partners.

The Nittany Lions are entering Big Ten play with a two-game winning streak, defeating Temple, 24-13, last Saturday, as senior quarterback Matt McGloin threw for a career-high 318 yards and one touchdown and ran for two scores.
