UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., - With precautionary measures complete and no surgery required, Penn State coach Joe Paterno was released late this morning, worked on today's practice plans and is looking forward to being at tomorrow's practice.
"It's time for everyone to turn the attention to the team," Paterno said. "We have a lot of hard work ahead in order to be as good as we think we can be."
The Nittany Lions open their 125th season Sept. 3 vs. Indiana State in Beaver Stadium and then host No. 2 Alabama on Sept. 10, as the Crimson Tide visit Happy Valley for the first time since 1989. All Penn State fans are encouraged to wear white to the 3:30 p.m. clash with Alabama.
