Quarterback Club Accepting Membership Dues;Announces Changes to Enhace Weekly Luncheons
STATE COLLEGE, Pa., June 9, 2004?- The State College Quarterback Club is now accepting membership dues for the 2004 Penn State football season and has announced several changes that will enhance the Club's weekly luncheons.
The Quarterback Club will begin its weekly luncheons on Wednesday, September 1, at?? The Mount Nittany Club in Beaver Stadium. The luncheons, held during the football season, feature Penn State coach Joe Paterno and members of the squad each week. There will be 11 luncheons through November 17. There will not be a luncheon during the Nittany Lions' bye week, on October 13th. All Quarterback Club members will receive a parking pass, which is valid for the Upper portion of Lot 44, just across the street and south of the stadium. Spaces will be reserved for the Club luncheons on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional reserved parking for Club members will be available in the metered parking lot across Curtin Road from the Penn State All-Sports Museum. The luncheons will feature a new, expanded buffet, with a selection of sandwiches, salads, soup, dessert and beverages at all luncheons. ? The lunch and program are $12 per person for members and $16 per person for a guest who may attend only one time per year. The doors to the Mount Nittany Club will open at 11:00 a.m. Registration will take place in the Mount Nittany Club and the main entrance for club members will be through Gate B on the west side of the stadium. ?? Membership in the Quarterback Club is limited to the first 500 who send their tax deductible dues of $50 per person or $80 per married couple. Dues payment by June 30 would be appreciated in order to provide ample time to distribute luncheon parking passes and membership cards for the upcoming season. The State College Quarterback Club supports the Penn State football program and is open to all fans of the Nittany Lions. The Club annually sponsors the Penn State Football Banquet, which salutes the Nittany Lion seniors, following the season. Jim Meister is the president of the Quarterback Club for 2004-05. Larry Walker is first vice president, Carla Jeremias is second vice president, Bob Levy serves as treasurer and Joe Sarra as secretary.
