FROM SLADE'S HEAD COACH TONY LILLY
"It has truly been an honor to coach Ricky Slade for the past four years. He has been one of the most talented student-athletes I have had the pleasure of coaching in my 22-year career. Ricky is an extremely talented young man, who every week I get to witness his skill set on the football field. He brings the ability to run the ball out of the backfield with vision and an acceleration like none I have ever seen. He also has hands where we can get the ball to him in space and put him in one-on-one situations of which he has the ability to make people miss in the open field. What Ricky brings to Penn State is a player who is one of the hardest working players with the competitive nature that drives him to be successful. He loves the team atmosphere and he brings a skill set that will potentially see him playing on Sundays in the future."
