Nittany Lions Host Senior Day on Saturday Versus Badgers
Mike Wallace continues to work hard and improve on and off the field in his efforts to play a greater role on defense and special teams this season. The talented and dedicated Wallace played in four games last year and recorded one tackle. The redshirt junior cornerback missed most of spring practice with a slight injury, but is expected to be at full strength when training camp begins in August. Wallace is an accomplished musician and the past two years has helped the freshmen football players prepare for their dance routine for the student-athlete pep rally at the Penn State Dance Marathon. Wallace is an active participant in some of the squad's community service initiatives. The former Good Counsel High School all-met selection is one of 10 returning Nittany Lions from Maryland.
2011 Junior Season
Wallace saw action in four games and made one tackle against Eastern Michigan. He recorded a pass breakup and was on the field for a season-high 11 snaps against Indiana State.
2010 Sophomore Season
In his first season on the field, Wallace saw action against Kent State, Illinois, Indiana and Florida for the veteran and deep Penn State secondary.

High School
A three-year starter and letterman at Good Counsel HS, Wallace was named All-Gazette and honorable All-Met under Coach Bob Milloy. He played for the Washington, D.C. squad in the 2008 Maryland Crab Bowl. During his senior season, Wallace recorded 11 interceptions. A triple-sport athlete, Wallace also played basketball and was a two-year letterman in track.
Personal
Full name is Michael Anthony Wallace. He is the son of Michael and Carla Wallace and has one sister, Michele. Wallace is a cousin of former Nittany Lion standout linebacker Terry Killens, a four-year letterman who gained second-team All-Big Ten honors in 1995 and played seven seasons in the NFL. In his spare time, Wallace enjoys listening to music. He is a telecommunications major. Born April 29, 1991 in Shadygrove, Md.
