Assistant Head Coach / Wide Receivers Coach
Stan Hixon is in his second year as Penn State's assistant head coach and wide receivers coach. He has been instrumental in the development of junior Allen Robinson, who broke the Penn State record for season receptions (77) and became the second Nittany Lion to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards in a season (1,013) in 2012. Robinson, who made 11 touchdown catches, was selected the 2012 Big Ten Richter-Howard Receiver of the Year. In his 33rd year in coaching, Hixon served as the wide receivers coach for the Buffalo Bills in 2010-11 and for the Washington Redskins from 2004-09. Stevie Johnson, Santana Moss and Antwaan Randle-El are among the NFL players Hixon has helped develop. From Lakeland, Fla., Hixon served as associate head coach/wide receivers coach at LSU from 2000-03, helping the Tigers win the 2003 BCS National Championship.
