All-American Selection:1991

Hero, 1991, Chesapeake, Va., selected by the Football Writers. Perry led the team with six interceptions, pushing his total to 15 to earn a share of second place on Penn State's career list. He had back-to-back interception returns for touchdowns (Boston College, Temple) to tie the Lions' season and career marks. Perry was a Top 20 finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation's top defensive back. Perry was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the eighth round of the 1992 National Football League Draft. He played with the Steelers from 1992-98, after earning a starting spot as a rookie. He also played for Baltimore (1999) and New Orleans (2000). He is the defensive backs coach of the Oakland Raiders after serving with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2003-06.
