Ross Muir's hard work and efforts in practice and the weight room paid off with an opportunity to play in a couple of games last season, gaining valuable experience. A consistently hard worker, Muir has spent most of his career at center, but last spring was shifted to guard, where he will look to challenge for time in the rotation. Muir was recognized for his efforts last spring as the recipient of the Frank Patrick Total Commitment Award, presented to the squad member(s) who excel in academic pursuits, off-season preparation, in-season commitment and community service. Muir compiled a 3.64 grade-point average last fall for Dean's List recognition. The former Noblesville HS standout owned a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average in kinesiology through the spring semester and is a probable Academic All-Big Ten candidate.
