Nittany Lions Host Senior Day on Saturday Versus Badgers

Wide receiver Christian Kuntz appeared in seven games last season after battling injuries that had slowed his progress his initial two years. The former Trinity High School standout will enter training camp ready to compete for a more significant role in the passing game. The determined Kuntz has good skills and provides another big target in the passing game. In the 2012 Blue-White game, Kuntz caught two balls for 16 yards, including an 11-yard touchdown reception from Matt McGloin. Kuntz compiled a 3.33 grade-point average during the spring semester and is a potential Academic All-Big Ten candidate. Kuntz is on schedule to graduate in May. He is among 20 returning Nittany Lions from Central Pennsylvania.

2011 Junior Season
Kuntz made his first career reception against Eastern Michigan, good for 17 yards, in the non-conference clash with the Eagles. He appeared in seven games.

2010 Sophomore Season
Kuntz's first season on the field was greatly impacted by two injuries. He suffered a preseason knee injury that knocked him out of the initial five games of the campaign. After rehabilitating the injury and returning to form in practice, Kuntz saw action in the win over Michigan. But, in practice prior to the Ohio State game, he suffered a broken collarbone that ended his season.
