Jordan Kerner is anxious for the opportunity to return to the practice field and resume his bid for playing time on defense or special teams. The redshirt freshman defensive end brings good size, skills and athleticism to the field. Kerner is among 16 returning Nittany Lions from Western Pennsylvania.

Kerner earned second-team all-state honors at Fairview High School playing for Coach Jim Brinling. Kerner received all-region and all-district accolades and was selected to play in the 2011 Big 33 Classic. As a senior, he was ranked among the top 20 prep players in Pennsylvania by Rivals.com.
