A versatile, multi-talented student-athlete, Lewis began his Penn State career as a cornerback after earning Associated Press PIAA Class AAA Player-of-the-Year honors as a quarterback at Gettysburg High School. After seeing some game action as a wide receiver, he moved to placekicker last season and made a 43-yard field goal against No. 2 Alabama, in addition to six PAT attempts. The quick and instinctive Lewis again will look to be a contributor at wide receiver and on special teams this fall. He also has been called upon to be a productive and elusive quarterback on the scout team. Lewis graduated in May with a degree in kinesiology. He compiled a perfect 4.00 grade-point average during the spring semester and graduated with a 3.44 GPA. Lewis and Nittany Lion tight end Brian Irvin were teammates at Gettysburg High School.
