Francis Claude's progress as a Nittany Lion has been slowed by nagging injuries, but he continues to work hard in his quest to gain more playing time at tight end. He joined classmates Justin King and Derrick Williams in graduating from high school in 3 1/2 years, enrolling at Penn State in January 2005. With the departure of Kevin Darling and Patrick Hall, opportunities for significant playing time are available behind returning starter Andrew Quarless. Claude is Penn State's lone representative from Canada.
