"The biggest compliment I think a coach could ever give a player is that his passion for the game rivals that of his coaches. I told recruiters multiple times, `I never thought I would coach a player who loves the game of football more than me, but Tommy Stevens is close!' Special athlete no doubt, but what makes him special is his toughness and willingness to prepare and compete on a daily basis. A natural born leader, tenacious competitor, and a great teammate."
